- Pre-listing validation — before adding a product to your store, export the supplier's reviews and run sentiment / common-complaint analysis. The 1-3 star reviews tell you what your customers will complain about.
- Variation triage — pivot reviews by
variation— often a specific colour or size has 1-2 star reviews while the rest are 5-star. Don't list that variation. - Country-specific quality issues — pivot by
country— sometimes a product gets bad reviews specifically from buyers in shipping-fragile destinations. Disclose shipping risks in your listing. - Photo quality bank — filter to
rating ≥ 4with photos for free product imagery (subject to AliExpress UGC policy and buyer consent). - Supplier benchmarking — bulk-export reviews from 3-5 suppliers of the same product to pick the one with consistent quality.
About the translated text column
AliExpress shows reviews in the buyer's original language and offers an in-page "Translate" button. The exporter captures BOTH versions when available — review_text stays in the original language, review_text_en is AliExpress's machine translation. Useful when sentiment-scoring with ChatGPT — feed the English version for consistency.
